Welcome to Malaysia
Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country which lies just north of the Equator and occupies parts of the Malay Peninsula, and the island of Borneo. It is said to be composed of two “noncontiguous regions”: Peninsular Malaysia (Semenanjung Malaysia), also called West Malaysia (Malaysia Barat), which is on the Malay Peninsula, and East Malaysia (Malaysia Timur), which is on the island of Borneo.
Malaysia is known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. It’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, lies in the western part of the peninsula, about 25 miles (40 km) from the coast. It is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers. Putrajaya is Malaysia’s administrative centre. It is located about 16 miles (25 km) south of the capital.
Welcome to GCLC Malaysia
GCLC’s Student Recruitment Agents
Malaysa is home to10 GCLC’s Student Recruitment Agents who actively support students seeking to study in the West – mainly in the United Kingdom, USA, and Canada.

Collaboration with local Colleges
GCLC is currently seeking to collaborate with carefully selected local colleges with hope of delivery UK accredited programmes within Malaysia. This would provide additional stream option for students seeking top-up qualifications abroad. In this arrangement, for instance a student who achieves a Level 6 SQA qualification within Malaysia, could proceed to study a Level 7 programme in the UK.
Exceptional benefits from delivering foreign accredited academic programmes locally
It is hoped that such arrangement would:
- Remove the need for proof of English proficiency;
- Speed up University admissions procedures;
- Help students to settle into foreign studies with much ease; and
- Remove the need for establishing or determining qualification equivalence for admission purposes
